My latest project: a Sinatra-based Stoic quote generator that yammers on Twitter. Working from the “Meditations” written by Marcus Aurelius, a Ruby gem by the name of marky_markov creates a Markov chain and the Twitter gem feeds it into the Twitter silo. Which is to say, Marcus is [sorta] still sharing his insights today.
Currently, the thing posts only when hitting a local URL. Next steps are to give it a presentable face, host it online, and automate posting [looking at you, Heroku Scheduler].
