Can we get Bruce Sterling writing in the Blygahedron? His observations about the online and tech and that little Italian town he moved to all have a fond place in my heart.

I’ve become personally affronted at how dumb toasters have remained. Completely left behind by Moore’s Law. They don’t need wifi capabilities, but they should be responsive enough to the environment that the first batch of toast doesn’t get toasted, while the second gets burned.

Testing if those transclusion tests are good tests.

With a few tweaks of some exiting systems, GitHub can easily turn into a write-only Blygger client.

Quickly feeling the limits of my baling-wire approach to contributing to, and interacting with, the Blyggahedron. Once I can start basement tinkering, Claude usage must be aimed at a better system.

So many project ideas rattling around.

  • Hopper service (webmention later) for reading blygs, frontend agnostic, heck, even bring your own data shape
  • GTDevice as a standalone device for GTD practice
  • Fixes to maybe upstream for Resident/Courier as a result of my underpowered hardware for said device testing

Next year, I’ll take the day off to celebrate properly. It makes sense that the festive feeling of Christmas or Easter is missing when so few others are on the same page. This is one of the things that Waldorf got right.

Using the GitHub mobile app as a free write-only blyg fragment (blygment?) creator. Issue to PR that makes the fragment and update the feed files. Triggers the existing build/deploy pipeline to get my thoughts into the blygosphere (blygodecahedron?). A new Hugo module, hugo-blyg, renders the human-readable stream using the site’s existing styles. Is this the much-vaunted composition I’ve heard so much about?

Something about the onset of fall, with the temperatures changing and the overcast sky, makes me want to mainline Gibson while tinkering on possible future states.

It’s not quite a vanilla Emacs config, more like vanillin – similar in color, smell, and taste to the natural version, but it’s made from an industrial byproduct of the wood pulping process.
